History of Singing Bowls

The SINGING BOWL is only the things created by human beings that produce both sound and vibration and have therapeutic purpose. 

The history of singing bowls is more than 3000 years old but still the exact origin time period of singing bowls are unknown. In past days people use singing bowls just of cooking pots, drinking water pots and for many house hold activities and whenever people are sick in old days people used singing bowls for healing purpose . They used to keep water in the singing bowls for a night and drink in the morning and they used various kinds of healing instrument like Bajra(a pointed dart like object),drums (a healing instrument used by witch-doctors and it is still in practice in Nepal) Slowly and gradually the use of singing bowls start increasing due to its healing power. The universal soundॐ and sound produced by singing bowls is also ॐ. 

Singing Bowls, Himalaya's-bowls, Om bowls & also known as Tibetan Bowls are becoming more popular day by day, worldwide, in the field of healing &Balancing energies. Singing bowls can produce ear friendly sounds and used as tools for meditation & healing by the monks & lamas and now days it is widely accepted. 

The exact production process and metal composition of singing bowls are still unknown but these the are produced in traditional way. They are made of mixture of various metals and they are hammered for long and finally finishing is done.
